Born, raised, and educated in this part of Florida, I know my way around our real estate market, from family and retirement homes to vacation and investment properties. I grew up in Miami-Dade County with my mother, who is from Puerto Rico, and my father, who is from Cuba. I am bilingual, have a strong affinity for Cuban coffee, or all coffee for that matter, and always enjoy a good salsa dance. Like so many Floridians, my sister and I were raised with an awareness and respect for the diversity of backgrounds and cultures that converge in our area. Practicing real estate allows me to apply my favorite aspects of my work and educational background to contribute to our community and help clients fulfill their dreams. Although I specialize in Lighthouse Point & will be your go to Lighthouse Point Realtor, my decades of experience in the surrounding areas allows me to understand all other local markets well.
After attending Florida Atlantic for a bachelor’s degree in finance and management, I worked in the hospitality industry management for many years until a friend invited me to work with him as a mortgage loan originator. This work reawakened my love of finance, but I felt disconnected from clients and community members while sitting behind a desk doing calculations. The next logical step was to pursue real estate, and I have not looked back since entering the field in 2014.
As an agent with a background in finance, I relish opportunities to search for properties that will give my clients the best return on their investment. An investor myself, I have a knack for finding that diamond-in-the-rough property that may take vision but has tremendous potential. I am both a straight-talker and an optimist. I will let you know when I genuinely do not believe that a property is a good fit, but I will also be the last one to stop fighting to salvage a difficult or complex deal and get us to the closing table. The team at Homes by Cusi matches my energy and level of commitment with its supportive and highly professional culture. It brings out the best of my abilities as an agent.
My favorite aspect of real estate is working with families and business owners as they realize their goals. Real estate transactions often occur around life transitions, planned or not, and I recognize the weighty and personal role that agents sometimes play as we walk through our clients’ life changes with them. Seeing the transformation of a new property after my clients have taken it over and settled in is one of the most fun and rewarding aspects of my work. T o support the transitions of those who may not otherwise be able to have such a fresh start, I volunteer every year with Habitat for Humanity to build new homes in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. When I am not working, I am usually at home in Lighthouse Point with my husband, two daughters, and our adorable rescue dog. As a former basketball and volleyball player, I enjoy staying active with my family, bike riding, doing strength training, and playing beach volleyball and golf. But if I get a quiet few minutes, you can find my nose in a book.
