Executive Admin/Agent

When I was young, I felt disconnected from my faith. It seemed to be a lifestyle that the people around me had chosen for me, but when I was older and could choose the congregation that I wanted to be a part of, my whole mindset changed. That new mindset helped me find what I would be doing for my career.

I grew up introverted. I was into technology, video games, and hobbies, which I generally kept to myself. My family was faith-based, but my understanding of my church’s traditional beliefs didn’t resonate with me as a child. In many ways, the rules seemed strict for the sake of being strict, and I didn’t understand why. My family cared about me, and the school I attended was good. I grew up understanding how vital spirituality can be, but when I was a kid, all that ceremony bored me. I felt disconnected from the lessons I heard and didn’t get much out of the church services. The more I grew up, the more I began to respect and appreciate what seemed to be an unfair and strict period in my life.

It wasn’t until high school that my outlook changed. A classmate had urged me to visit her church. She talked about the sense of community she felt there. However, I wasn’t sure I entirely bought into it. Surely, all churches were essentially the same- or were they? I had attended enough services that had little to no impact on me, but I figured it couldn’t hurt anything, so I agreed to join her.

One of the first things that struck me about my classmate’s church was the music. I’d never heard music like that in a church setting, and the words I was hearing were connecting with me in a way they had never before. The people surrounding me seemed like they were a true community and wanted what was best for the people around them. I wanted that for them too. When I began attending that church, I realized that all those strict rules and ceremonies weren’t what spirituality was about.

That place and being a member of that congregation changed me. It was hugely impactful, giving me a direction and purpose in life. I then knew I wanted to be more involved in ministry. I would never have guessed I’d feel called to do that. And I’d never pictured myself as a leader before. Suddenly, it seemed so right. My mentality had evolved from when I was a child, content to spend my time alone. I was still an introvert, but I wanted to help people. The latter had a stronger pull and won out.

That was one aspect of my life sorted out, but there was another that weighed on me. The work I did at the church was fulfilling, but it wasn’t my career. I still had bills to pay and was working as a delivery driver. I knew that any job worth pursuing would also have to feel worthwhile. I wanted to help people in more ways than one.

A friend who attended my newfound church had investment properties and often spoke highly of the industry. He was my first proper awareness of real estate. It was one of the many ways it could majorly benefit a person’s life. So when my friend brought up an internship for real estate agents, I saw a path for my future. “Real estate might be a fantastic way to serve people and grow and nurture the community around me.”, I thought to myself.

Being an agent is genuinely remarkable. I find as much joy in exploring new houses as the clients do! But it’s about more than that. My mentality for working with people and seeing them succeed brings me joy. Joining the HomesByCusi Team has shown me that many different personalities are great at unique tasks, which has made us all stronger. My team and my clients are both a part of my community.

I look forward to bringing you into our neighborhood!

One of the essential elements of joining a community is the location and having a guide to help you find the one that works best for you. I was born and raised in South Florida and know and love the area and understand what it takes to make a home here.

I’ve developed a strong work ethic and impeccable communication skills from my background and use both to bring value to the work I do in the real estate industry. I know that finding the right home is a journey, and it’s a path I look forward to walking with my clients.

When I enter a transaction, the paycheck at the other end isn’t what drives me. When I see the hopes and dreams of the clients before me, that is the last thing on my mind. Buying a home is an important decision, and I want what’s best for them. My time in the ministry has evolved me to focus on people and ways to better their experiences. I hope to have the opportunity to do that for you!
