Fall Festivals and Pumpkin Patches Near Broward and Palm Beach Homes: 2026 Guide
South Florida's fall looks a little different: palms instead of red leaves, and pumpkin patches next to sunny neighborhood parks. If you're moving to Broward or Palm Beach County, these local events are a nice way to get a feel for the places you might call home. Here are a few confirmed 2026 options and what makes each outing distinct.
Broward County Fall Events
Oakland Park Oktoberfest, October 2-4
The city has posted its 2026 schedule for Jaco Pastorius Park on Dixie Highway: Friday 6-10 p.m., Saturday 1-10 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m. The mix of music, food and a walk through downtown makes this an easy way to explore Oakland Park beyond a listing photo. Downtown parking is limited, so plan your trip before you go.
Riverwalk Fall Festival, October 17
Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale lists its 10th annual festival at Esplanade Park from noon to 4 p.m., with free admission. It's a good excuse to walk the New River and see how downtown Fort Lauderdale's parks, restaurants and residential streets connect. Food and vendor purchases cost extra.
Deerfield Beach and Coral Springs
Deerfield Beach's Fall Festival and Coral Springs' Thrills & Chills are worth keeping on your list. But check the city's Fall Festival page and Thrills & Chills page for the current year before you buy tickets or plan around a date. The Coral Springs city page we checked still showed a 2025 event, not a confirmed 2026 schedule.
Palm Beach County Pumpkin-Patch Ideas
Bedner's Farm Fresh Market has a 2026 fall festival page for Boynton Beach. The farm outing pairs well with a drive through west Boynton Beach, where the feel is different from the coastal neighborhoods. Check Bedner's current hours and ticket details before leaving home.
Spookyville at Yesteryear Village is another option in the West Palm Beach area. Its official page shows 2026 tickets, but the promotional prices listed there had a September 16 deadline, so don't assume those discounts still apply. For a broader set of patches and festivals, see The Friendly Scoop's 2026 roundup.
What a Weekend Visit Can Tell You About a Neighborhood
When you're checking out a future home, make a day of it. Walk the park or downtown before the event starts. Notice the drive and parking, whether you can get around comfortably on foot, and which shops and public spaces you would actually use. An event is one snapshot, not a promise about a neighborhood year-round. Go back on an ordinary weekday too.
